2024 Winner's Circle Incoming Freshman Scholarships

Available to Incoming Freshman enrolled in Agriculture Curriculum at any 4-year or 2-year university or college.

The application period is currently closed until January 1, 2024.  After January 1st we will have an updated Winner’s Circle Incoming Freshman Application and scholarship list.

Incoming Freshman Scholarship List:

Applicant should be an incoming freshman in the fall of 2024 who plans to attend an Iowa community college, college or university and pursue a degree in the field of agriculture. Applicant must have a strong background in 4-H and/or FFA and demonstrate leadership while being involved in activities. Preference will be given to applicant who shows a strong desire to remain active in agriculture after graduation.

Applicant should be an incoming freshman for 2024 who plans to attend a community college, college or university and pursue a degree in the field of agriculture. Career focus in the agriculture industry is expected. Applicant must have a strong agricultural background involving 4-H and/or FFA and have also demonstrated community, state, or national leadership activities. Applicant must have exhibited beef project(s) at the Iowa State Fair in 4-H and/or FFA.

The applicant should be an incoming freshman in the fall of 2024 at any Iowa community college, college, or university and have a strong background in sheep projects and activities. Preference in selection will be given to an applicant who shows a desire to remain active in the sheep industry after graduation.

The applicant should have a strong background in 4-H and/or FFA leadership as well as livestock projects. The applicant should be an incoming freshman in the fall of 2024 at any community college, college, or university. Preference will be given to an applicant from Polk County or the surrounding counties.

Applicant should be an incoming freshman at either a community college, college, or university in Iowa in the fall of 2024 and have a strong background in 4-H and/or FFA leadership as well as beef projects.

Applicant should be an incoming freshman in the fall of 2024 at any Iowa community college, college, or university, have a strong background in 4-H and/or FFA and demonstrate leadership abilities while being involved in activities. Preference will be given to an applicant who has a major interest in agronomy.

Applicant should be an incoming freshman who for 2024 plans to attend a community college, college or university and pursue a degree in the field of agriculture. Career focus in the agriculture industry is expected. Applicant must have a strong agricultural background involving 4-H and/or FFA and have also demonstrated community, state, or national leadership activities. Applicant should be an incoming freshman in the fall of 2024 and planning to attend Iowa State University with a major in College of Agriculture and Life Sciences or in family and consumer science field of study in College of Human Sciences. Applicant must have been a participant in Iowa State Fair FFA events/activities. Documentation showing specific involvement in Iowa State Fair FFA exhibiting, events, or activities should be included in the appropriate application section.

  • One $2,000 IFAA Earl & Marilyn Freel Memorial Excellence in Sheep Participation Scholarship

Applicant should be incoming freshmen in the fall of 2024 at any community college, college, or university with a major in Animal Science or a curriculum in Agriculture and Life Sciences related to the animal industry.

Applicant should be an incoming freshman in the fall of 2024 and have a strong background in beef projects and activities. Preference in selection will be given to applicant who shows current and prior involvement in their beef breeding program and are associated with beef breed associations with a desire to remain active in the beef breeding industry after graduation.

Applicant should be an incoming freshman in the fall of 2024 at any Iowa community college, college, or university, have a strong background in 4-H and/or FFA and demonstrate leadership abilities while being involved in activities. Preference will be given to applicant who has a major interest in agronomy.

 

Applicant should be an incoming freshman in the fall of 2024 at any Iowa community college, college or university and have a strong background in swine projects and activities. Preference in selection will be given to applicant who shows a desire to remain active in the purebred swine industry after graduation.

Applicant should be an incoming freshman in the fall of 2024 attending any Iowa community college, college, or university and have a strong background in beef projects and activities. Preference in selection will be given to applicant who has been active in beef cattle expositions and showmanship contests.

The applicant should be an incoming freshman in the fall of 2024 at any Iowa community college, college, or university, have a strong background in 4-H and/or FFA, and demonstrate leadership abilities while being involved in activities. Preference will be given to applicant from the Southeast District of Iowa who shows a strong desire to remain active in the livestock industry after graduation.

Applicant should be an incoming freshman in the fall of 2024 at any Iowa community college, college, or university, have a strong background in 4-H and/or FFA and demonstrate leadership abilities while being involved in activities. Preference will be given to applicant who has a major interest in agronomy.

Applicant should be an incoming freshman at an Iowa community college, college, or university in the fall 2024 and be enrolled in the field of agriculture. Applicant must have a strong background in 4-H and/or FFA and demonstrate leadership abilities while being involved in activities. Preference will be given to applicant who shows a strong desire to remain active in the swine industry after graduation.

Applicant should be an incoming freshman at any Iowa community college, college, or university in the fall of 2024, have a strong background in 4-H and/or FFA and demonstrate leadership abilities while being involved in activities. Applicant must have a desire to remain active in agriculture.

Applicant must be an incoming freshman or undergraduate attending an Iowa community college, college, or university with a strong agriculture background involving 4-H and/or FFA. Preference will be given to applicant who is interested in Agricultural Business.

Applicant should be an incoming freshman in the fall of 2024 at any Iowa community college, college, or university. The applicant should have a strong background in 4-H and/or FFA leadership as well as livestock projects.

Applicant should be an incoming freshman at any Iowa community college, college, or university in the fall of 2024, or an undergraduate in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Iowa State University. Applicant must live in Story County and have a strong background in 4-H and/or FFA beef projects and activities. Preference will be given to applicant who shows a strong desire to remain active in the beef industry.

Applicant should be an incoming freshman at an Iowa community college, college, or university in the fall of 2024, or an undergraduate in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Iowa State University. Applicant must have a strong background in livestock and/or equine exhibiting, projects, and activities.

Applicant should be an incoming freshman in the fall of 2024 at any Iowa postsecondary school and must have a strong background in 4-H and/or FFA beef projects and activities. Preference will be given to applicant who shows a strong desire to remain active in the beef industry following graduation.

Applicant should be an incoming freshman in the fall of 2024 at any Iowa postsecondary school and have a strong background in swine projects and activities. Preference will be given to applicant who shows a desire to remain active in the swine industry after graduation.

Applicant should be an incoming freshman in the fall of 2024 at any Iowa community college, college, or university. Applicants must have a strong background in the poultry area and a desire to remain active in the poultry industry.

Applicant should be an incoming freshman at any Iowa community college or university, or undergraduate in Agriculture at any Iowa community college, college, or university in the fall of 2024. Applicant must have a strong background in meat goat production and/or exhibiting, projects and activities.

Applicant should be an incoming freshman in the fall of 2024 at any Iowa community college, college or university and have a strong background in beef or horse projects and activities. Preference in selection will be given to the applicant who shows a desire to remain active in agriculture after graduation.

Applicant must have exhibited breeding swine at the Iowa State Fair FFA Swine Show at least once during their FFA membership and in a year prior to applying for the scholarship. Applicant should be an incoming freshman in the fall of 2024 in agriculture or agriculture related field at any Iowa university or community college. The applicant must have a strong background in FFA leadership and show a strong desire to remain active in agriculture after graduation. Applicants are eligible to apply every year they meet the requirements; however preference will be given to those who have not received an Iowa State Fair FFA Blue and Gold Gilt Sale Scholarship in the past.
